Privacy Policy
Short, because we collect very little.
The Exit Strategy Co. and The Deal Strategy Co. are registered trade names of The Exit Strategy Group, LLC, a licensed Florida real estate brokerage, license #CQ1069288. In this policy, “we” and “the firm” mean that brokerage, and “the site” means theexitstrategyco.com.
This site does not track you
We set no cookies. We run no analytics, no advertising pixels, no session recording and no third-party trackers. There is nothing to consent to and no preferences to manage, which is why you will not see a cookie banner.
Two ordinary exceptions apply to any website. Our host, Netlify, keeps standard server logs including IP addresses for security and reliability. And typefaces are served by Google Fonts, so loading a page makes a request to Google’s font servers, which reveals your IP address to Google. We do not receive that information.
What we collect
Only what you type into a form and send us:
- Contact form: your name, email, phone, company, state, what brings you to us, and anything you write in the message field.
The readiness self-check on the Exit Readiness page runs entirely in your browser. Your answers are never sent to us or to anyone else, and are gone when you close the tab.
Why we have it and what we do with it
We use what you send us to reply to you and to work out whether an engagement makes sense. That is all. We do not sell, rent or trade your information, and we do not share it for anyone else’s marketing.
Form submissions are processed by Formspree, our form provider, and reach us by email. If we take you on as a client, your information moves into our normal client files and is governed by your engagement letter and by the recordkeeping duties that apply to a licensed brokerage.
Confidentiality
An enquiry about selling a business is sensitive on its own. We treat every enquiry as confidential. We will not contact your employees, customers, suppliers or competitors, and we will not identify you or your company to a prospective buyer without your instruction and, where a buyer is involved, an executed non-disclosure agreement.
How long we keep it
Enquiries that do not become engagements are kept for [RETENTION PERIOD, e.g. 24 months] and then deleted. Client and transaction records are retained for the period required of a licensed real estate brokerage in the applicable state, which is longer.
Your choices
- See, correct or delete what we hold about you by asking through our contact form. We will respond within 30 days. We may need to keep records we are legally required to retain.
Depending on where you live you may have additional rights under state or foreign privacy law. Ask and we will honour them where they apply.
Security
The site is served over HTTPS. No method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure, so please do not send financial statements, tax returns or other sensitive documents through the contact form. Once we are talking, we will give you a secure data room for that.
Children
This site is for business owners. It is not directed to anyone under 18 and we do not knowingly collect information from children.
Changes
If this policy changes we will update the date at the top of this page.
